We are currently looking for a
Registered General Psychologist or Accredited Mental Health Social Worker

We are a boutique practice in Nowra, specifically designed for the needs of adolescents and young people. Our commitment to high-quality, caring service to our community is something we are proud of. We offer diagnostic services in addition to treatment that integrates psychological and sociological approaches. Because of our increasingly busy schedules, we have decided to expand our team. There is plenty of room to grow for the right candidate.
What we are looking for:
- Registration as general psychologist or accreditation as MHSW
- Commitment to client-centred, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and strength-based approaches to treatment
- Registration or eligibility for Open Arms counselling, Victim Services counselling, and Medicare rebate
- A caring person who loves working with adolescents and young adults and is passionate about improving their lives
- Preference for relationship-driven work rather than following a rigid structure
- Experience of using a range of modalities, such as CBT, DBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, multicultural counselling, or Narrative Therapy (others welcome!)
- Ability to engage with clients from diverse backgrounds, such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, LGBTIQ+, or the forensic population
- Ability to see clients with diverse experiences and presentations, such as child sexual abuse, eating disorders, survivors of domestic violence, autism, and ADHD
- Prior private practice experience is beneficial
